A message to all those who profess the name of Christianity regardless of whether you are Southern Baptist, Independent Baptist, Pentacostal, Charismatic, Anglican, Evangelical, Fundamentalist, Lutheran, Methodist, Calvinist, Arminian etc. Regardless if your Christianity is simply going to church, if you are doing missions or you believe you have the correct theology or doctrine compared to other labels and denominations of Christianity, this message is for you. The questions I have is: 'Do you truly know God personally and intimately? Are you continually giving your all to Him?'
If Jesus Christ came back this very day at this very minute, do you think He would be saying "good and faithful servant" to you? Are you ready to meet Jesus?
Examine yourself, for today is the day to get right with God, to be completely serious with Him and to serve Him completely with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
How much time do you spend with Him and invest in your relationship with Him? Is it not correct to spend all of your available time and resources with your beloved? If you truly loved someone so dearly, wouldn't you, in all your strength, even make or force time in your schedule to spend quality time with them? Are you doing the same with God?
God demands and deserves the worship, praise, obedience, sacrifice and glory from us humans (which we were created for). Are you doing this throughout every moment of the day? Are you living out the commands by Jesus, Paul and the other apostles? Are you obeying God by reading and living according to His Word?
God has done the unthinkable and something that cannot be comprehended to its fullest extent. To justify sinners, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to become a human and die for the sins of His people. Does this not shake you to the core? God has given all to us, shouldn't this all the more motivate us to lay down our entire life for Him? Isn't that the very least we can do?
Do you pray each and everyday with your full heart committed without being distracted understanding that you are communicating with the King of kings? Would you be distracted as easily in your prayers as you would if you were having a conversation with the Queen of England? Would you spend as much time thinking about God during the day as you would when you were most love-struck by someone else?
How dare we as created beings, give God anything less than 110% of everything we have.
Would you live and work unto the Lord less than you would if the head manager, owner of the company and the president were to watch and critique your work?
If you were to study for a life-changing exam, receive a love-letter or receive a personal letter from the president, would you take more time and care into studying, reading and thinking about these things rather than the Word of God? Isn't the Word of God, the most important? Doesn't the Word of God govern over your life more than any education? Doesn't the Word of God scream a theme of love throughout its pages directly from God, who is Love? Isn't God infinitely more important than anyone else in this world?
Re-examine your invested time. Some of the things where you are serving yourself, can you turn that around to serve God? If so, then stop serving yourself and serve God.
Being a Christian means to deny yourself and everything you stand for and desire. Your desire and will, at all times, belongs to Jesus Christ. Have you rid of everything and lost all grips of everything but what is stated in the bible? Are you submitting yourself to His Word? Do you seek to obey God with everything in your heart? Do you pray and seek His will to be done no matter the cost? Do you see everything else as loss.
Is God truly first, second, third, fourth and every other place in your heart and life?
Do you seek that He will be glorified in all situations no matter the cost, no matter what happens? Get serious today
