A reading through Exodus 12:12-13 reveals a grand picture and foresharding of both salvation and judgement.
Only those who are "the first born" and not 'second born' (born-again), will be under God's wrath (lake of fire) for their wickedness and rebellion against God.
The Lord will also be executing judgements on all the false gods of this world - all idols within the heart of man and any false religions. Such idols include: money, family, career, a Jesus who is conjured in the minds of men but do not reflect the same Jesus Christ of the bible etc.
Exodus 12:12-13 (ESV)
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the Lord. 13 The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.
Whilst there is a sobering reality of the eternal death - lake of fire (Revelation 20:15), the Lord will not be condemning or casting anyone into the lake of fire or outer darkness as long as they have the blood of the Lamb on the doorposts of their hearts. All those in Jesus Christ, and covered by His precious blood, will be saved on the day of judgement.
Only those who are "the first born" and not 'second born' (born-again), will be under God's wrath (lake of fire) for their wickedness and rebellion against God.

Reader, are you covered by the precious blood of Jesus Christ?
